BACKGROUND
Stylish Kombi Tours has been operating since 2014 providing bespoke tours and wedding transportation around the Perth metro area and Swan Valley. It is a well-established and easy-to-operate business ideal for those seeking a second income, semi-retirement or supplement to superannuation – or even as a way for a die-hard kombi fan to keep their pride and joy on the road for nothing!
It has a well-established social media presence with 2600 Facebook followers (#stylishkombitours) and a professional website www.stylishkombitours.com.au .
I have operated the business (which is great fun!) on a low-key basis, only taking bookings as-and-when it suited me so there is plenty of scope to do more with a little active promotion. There is currently no significant competition in the Perth metro area.
Kombi 1 (White over Teal) is a 1973 Type 2. It has a water-cooled Subaru EJ20 (non turbo) engine, 5 speed custom gearbox by Subarugears ,hydraulic clutch, custom exhaust, custom suspension, disc brake conversion, matching leather trim, 8 seats (facing bench seats in passenger compartment), Dakota digital dash, Axis audio visual system and video screen, 12v Engel fridge, sub-woofer, dual battery system, air conditioning ,awning, tow bar and trailer socket.
Kombi 2 (Teal over white) is a 1975 Type 2. It has a water-cooled Subaru EJ25 (non-turbo) engine, 5 speed Subarugears gearbox, custom exhaust, custom suspension, disc brake conversion, matching leather trim, 8 seats (dual bench seats in passenger compartment), Dakota digital dash, Axis audio visual system and video screen , sub-woofer,12v Engel fridge and air conditioning.
Both kombis were registered as Charter Vehicles and passed their road-worthy annually from 2014 -2024. Both have engineering approval/ modification certification. Renewal of passenger vehicle registration if required is a simple process.
